Happy day off!

Today, I had the luxury of having the day off of work. Thank goodness for the stock market being closed. So happy! I didn't do much...I tried to do Zumba on the Wii, however the remotes decided they didn't want to work. Then I went to Chick-fil-A for lunch. LOVE Chick-fil-A. I then took my dry cleaning and now I am home doing laundry, cleaning out my car and now about to start on my homework before the Bachelor! Can.not.wait.

Lately, I have been contemplating getting a personal trainer, who just happens to be a friend of mine from college. She is such an awesome person and she is the only one whom I would trust with my training. I'm thinking this is a good decision and something that I could totally do. It's just going to take some commitment especially since its something that I will be doing 2 mornings a week. I have work at 8 and I just have to make sure I am not late for that. Thoughts, thoughts.

This past week I have been living without a credit/debit card. It has been difficult. You never realize how much you depend on something until you don't have the luxury of using it. Like today. I went to FiFi's today and found this cute coat and skirt and was only going to spend like $30. I had to pray I had enough cash on me so I could get them...something you don't have to do when you have your card. Thank goodness I did! I cannot wait to get my card, hopefully this week.

Anyway, my message for this week is to...

Cheers and go Everton! :)

Productiveness

This weekend has been nothing but. I feel as though I got a lot done- including my laundry! HA...wow do I sound like a bore! The weather here is totally doing a number on my sinuses....I can't stop coughing...and its driving me crazy!

This past week, I was asked to begin helping a Sunday morning bible class for kindergartner through 3rd grade. Let me just say how blessed our church is. These kids are just the funniest and smartest kids. I can't wait to see what these kids come up with! They just always have something to say or a story....and they are just the funniest! If you know me, you know how much I love really silly jokes, and I think this class is going to teach me a few!

Today in church, we were reminded about being a disciple and how we should show in everything that we do that we are a disciple of Christ. Let us all strive to do this throughout this year.

This week classes begin again....and all I have to say is this is going to be difficult to get back into.

Oh yea, and don't forget about The Bachelor tomorrow!!!! This season is going to be interesting to say the least....

Have a great week!!!!

No Sir

Whoa, its been a while. I am terribly sorry for the few months of nothing. I have been extremely busy. With classes, my best friend's wedding and working, I mean there has been no time for anything....barely have had time to rest my head! Happy New Year!!! It's been a great year so far!! I am so thankful that we have been blessed with another year! We had a great holiday season and also had a very relaxing new year, which I am thankful for!!

Today, it has been super duper cold and I just don't know how I am going to handle this 22 degree morning we are going to be having in the am but I will do my best! I am going to try and do a better job of writing throughout the week...actually put aside time to do it!!!

I recently became obsessed with Pinterest. I mean totally obsessed. I am on there all the time and keep finding fun things to do and make and really cute ideas!!! I can't wait to make them all :)

I want to start this year off by thanking all my friends and fam for being awesome and being so supportive through this crazy, busy time in my life. This has been so trying and difficult and I wouldn't have been able to keep up with everything if it weren't for God keeping me sane and my support system's encouragement.

I have a few things that I am adding to my want really bad list:

Chanel ballet flats...LOVE! Monogrammed necklace....in gold

I'm thinking of keeping a list of the things that I want, and then as I get these items, I will just check them off! This is totally against my new year's resolution about being better with my money! BAHAH

Well, I am off to bed!! I'm exhaused as this is my first day back to work since...last Friday haha. I want to say Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Sanchez!!! My best friend looked amazing and I couldn't be happier for them! They are amazing and I had such an amazing time with everyone back in Houston!

Saturday's in Fall

I absolutely love the fall and I love Saturday's in the fall. The weather is just crisp and football is on the TV or we are at a game. Can't get any better in my opinion. I have begun to appreciate the little things in life that make me smile.

On a sadder note, yesterday I went to the viewing of a 26 year old. His grandfather is a close friend of the fam, so we went to support him and his grieving family. This put some things into perspective for me. We never know what tomorrow holds. I think we all take for granted things in our lives everyday. We should not forget to say our I love yous or tell people that we appreciate them. We get so caught up in our every day lives that we forget to say thank you to God and we forget to tell our friends and family how much they really mean to us. It saddens me to think that this young man, who is close to my age, didn't get to say good bye or didn't get to say I love you to his family or let his friends know how much they mean to him. I am guilty of this as well. So, from now on, I will try and not take for granted anything in this world. To all my friends and fam, I love y'all and each of you has made me into the person I am today.

Ok....

These last few weeks have been very trying- due to the fact that I am trying to finish this class at school- while working full time. Take today for instance. I woke up and went to work- on a Saturday. Came home and started doing laundry (haven't had time to do it in about 2 weeks) and started writing a paper for my class- while watching the UGA game. Its 11 pm and I just finished my part of the paper and am getting ready to put away the laundry and get everything ready for church tomorrow. Whew. I love organization and if I don't begin my week with it- well let's just say it isn't pretty. HA

I can't wait to be in Houston in 20 days for my best friend's bridal shower. I CAN.NOT.WAIT. It is going to be amazing and her and her fiance deserve the absolute best. They are the cutest thing and I can't wait to see them! AHH....anywho, after that then I get to see this....

If you don't know where this is....it is the best place....Athens, Georgia. Ansley is finally making the trip to Athens and its going to be awesome!! This is the best place! I can't wait for it to turn cooler up there!!! Its one of the best feelings in the entire world.

Well good night y'all! Yay for a Dawg win today in Oxford! Y'all have a fabulous evening and a great Sunday! I am going to try and get better at posting- well if anyone reads this thing anyway!

Oh Dear

Dearest Aaron Murray,

Well well well....it's another football season in the best college town in the nation, Athens, Georgia. I know things in the past have been a tad bit difficult but I think we need to talk. Things cannot end up as they did last year. The 2010-2011 football season broke.my.heart. I think its time to step it up especially after last Saturday's performance. Now, I understand that Boise was ranked higher but puhlease.....lock it up. I just cannot stand to have another embarrassing season as the last. Ok, thanks. I look forward to seeing you this Saturday at 4:30 pm. Goodbye.

Sincerely,

Concerned fans

Interesting

I found this a few days ago and I found it to be oh so true. This is one of the reasons that I love the South and the people in it.....

"Courtesy, generosity, class and charm. No folks, these qualities didn't die with the Old South after the Civil War. They still exist in the hearts and souls of true Southern gentleman. Aristocratic and working class families alike have been rearing their sons to become the next generation of this rare breed of man. So what is 'Southern chivalry,' you ask? It's always letting a lady walk ahead, enter a room first, and sit first. It's opening and holding the door for her, pulling out her chair at a nice restaurant, and allowing her to place her drink and food order first. With all of this in mind, you must remember that Southern Belles are independent and reserve their right to stand their ground and assert their classy, confident attitudes. As I like to say, hell hath no wrath like a Southern woman scorned, so just be cautious gents!

These chivalrous qualities are instilled at birth in every Southern gentleman's heart, soul, and mind. It's how your mama and daddy raised you. But a true Southern gentleman takes these qualities to heart and molds them into a life journey that will no doubt grant him the success, happiness, and respect that so many Southern gents have received before him. Southern chivalry isn't a dying phrase...it's a way of life still very much alive below the Mason-Dixon."

Just a thought....

Reagan said it best.....

After all of these recent problems with the debt ceiling and utter chaos going on around, I found this and though it was appropriate. I think its sad that our elected government officials are vacationing in the Hampton's or in Camp David and not trying to fix the problems that are going on in this country. It is ridiculous that we, as Americans, living in the most powerful country in the nation, have this many problems. And another thing, we hear more about these problems more so than the 30 United States Troops that lost their lives in Afghanistan over the weekend. I find this ridiculous and selfish of our Government.

Ok, I promise I am done with that. It's just when things irritate you...you have to get it off your chest.

Happy August everyone! It's a great month (if I do say so myself)! The South during these summer months is like a sauna....its crazy. I can honestly say though that I would not give up being in the South for anything. It's just such an awesome place.

This isn't the post that I had planned, but I thought it was one that was something that I needed to get it off my chest. I hope everyone has a great Monday evening.

Go Bravos!

Congrats to the fabulous Atlanta Braves on their 10,000 franchise win tonight against the Washington Nationals. I am so proud to call myself a Braves fan (thank you Garrett!)!!

Bad Day

Do you ever just have those days that you just wish would be over really, really bad? And all you want to do is cry and pretend you didn't wake up that particular morning? Well, today has been that kind of day. I don't understand this world at all. I just don't. It seems like every turn I make or everything I go to do is to please others at my own expense. Just when you think you may have things figured out and everything is going well, life throws you a curve ball and you go down swinging. I just don't understand it at all. I pray all the time and then all of a sudden, life stinks again. I just wish that things could be consistant. I wish that I wasn't trying to please everyone else and for once someone do something nice for me. I hate to sound selfish. I really do. I am not a selfish person. I am just someone having a really bad, horrible day. I really pray that everything will be better tomorrow. Maybe I will just stay out of everyone's way. Maybe that will help.

Super Tired

I'm not sure why I am so tired lately, but I am. I am sitting here in my bed at the time of oh 8:39 pm and I am about to fall asleep. I have already taken a shower, washed my face and everything and now I am just about ready to hit the sack. Wow. Hmm...anyway, this weekend we had a fishing tournament which we placed 16th in. We seriously placed with an 11lb fish....craziness.

May I just say that I am watching Real Housewives of Orange County and may I just say that I am so glad that I was raised better than that. Oh.my..lanta. I can't even begin to tell you how crazy these women are. I pray that they learn how to get their lives back together. Why can't people just get along?!

I hope everyone had a great Tuesday and y'all have a great Wednesday! Only 3 more days of this week! Yay!

Random Ramblings....

Today we had a class at work (we have had these a lot lately) and it was entitled (something along the lines of...) "Excellence Customer Service." There were several things that I, personally, took away from this class that EVERYONE can do EVERYDAY no matter if you work for a HUGE corporation or if you are a student or a stay at home mom.

1. Smile with someone. Look them in the eyes and smile.

2. It's not always what you say, its how you say it.

3. YOU ARE AMAZING. State this daily....you will eventually start to believe it if you don't already.

4. Have a daily affirmation(s) and say it(them) daily.

So....I know these things aren't anything new and exciting but just remember these things and maybe just maybe they will make things in your world better. Be someone's ray of sunshine!

This weekend, our family and friends are headed to our first fishing tournament of the year! We have a nice place on the water to stay and can't wait to sit on the porch and just relax the whole weekend!

I hope y'all have a happy Friday!

Lalalala

This evening I have been busy as a little bee! We went to the grocery, which is always an interesting time! Then ate dinner, aka a Publix sub, then went on a couple of mile bike ride, now watching the Braves/Mets game, doing laundry and cleaning. This series always brings about mixed feelings for me. I love the Braves and they have ALWAYS been my team, but I do have a soft spot in my heart for the New York Mets. I love the city and had such a fun time a few years ago! I also have a love for Mr. David Wright! Love him! Anywhoooo, the next few weeks are busy, busy as well! Oh yea, and I am nursing a bad sunburn on my backside....YUCKIE.

Lately, there has been a lot on my mind. Last week I heard some pretty disappointing news from school. Once something gets on my mind, everything that could possibly go wrong, gets on my mind, whether or not something is wrong. I have been praying a lot about this and I have no begun just letting God have control and not fretting so much on the little things. This is very hard for me ESPECIALLY because I am one who has to have everything the way she wants it. Life just isn't that way all the time. Everything happens for a reason, it truely does.

Today, I got to speak with one of my dear, sweet littles, Ansley. She is all the way in Germany studying abroad and I miss her oh so much. But she will be back very soon! Her pictures say that she is having soo much fun!! Can not wait to have her back in the States.

This was a little random, and I really didn't have too much to say, but I hope everyone has a great Monday! Don't forget to.........

Who knew?

Ok, so let me be honest and say that the past few days haven't been "my days" to say the least. I got some bad news from school and found out that I had to work 12 hours of overtime between last Wednesday and this weekend or I would have to work this Saturday (good news here- I completed them ALL and don't have to work Saturday-woo hoo), things just aren't going my way. Well, I know that I have no room to complaining because I am very blessed but I just get frustrated. Do y'all ever get that way? There are some days where I just get down and have a hard time getting back up. I even wore Lilly today and just had a pretty icky day...ha. But anyway, I know I just have to keep praying about things and they will work out the way that they are supposed to.

One awesome thing I discovered was the DMB LIVE at Wrigley Field.....which I am currently downloading from itunes to soothe my mood ha. I also discovered (from a blog that I read) the big floppy summer hats that you can get monogrammed. SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT. And, they are only $9.99. They are presh and I must own one haha.

So, after I get off work tomorrow afternoon, I am going to be RELAXING and trying to chill out from this stressful week.

Here are my words of encouragement:
I hope y'all have a great Friday!

Memorial Day woohooo

So, tomorrow as we celebrate not having work and being able to sleep in and lay by the poor go to the beach, we also should keep in mind the importance of tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the day that have put aside to remember those have fought for our wonderful country. Those who have served and paid the ultimate sacrifice. So please, as you are having fun with your loved ones or you are relaxing, please remember those who have served and those who are currently serving and across seas defending the freedom that we sometimes take for granted.

So, this weekend was completely relaxing...well besides a huge test I had to take yesterday morning. I shopped and did some more shopping...excpet I didn't really buy anything. I know....hard to believe. Shelley was in town which, of course I enjoyed. I have gotten to sleep in the past 2 mornings....and tomorrow I plan to do the same thing....and then LAY BY THE POOL! YES. Thank goodness that Aunt Erin and Uncle Ivey are back and are being oh so gracious enough to have us over for a pool day!

Oh how I wish that I was in Atlanta this weekend for the Braves/Reds series. It looked like everyone up there was having so much fun up there....super jeal.

Oh yea, thats right....they won tonight! Oh yea.

Anyway, well....my room is a complete wreck not to mention the amount of laundry I have to do before tomorrow....which might I add....I have no desire to do....weird...I know. I am always so up for cleaning and organizing and having everything in order, but as of late, I have had NO desire to clean or do laundry. I think its very strange, but here I go rambling again....sorry! I hope y'all have a great night!

Whoa...its been a while....

Hello there! I apologize for my lack of blogging as of late. I have been incredibly busy and haven't had time to sit down and blog. Nothing too exciting has been happening- I have been traveling to North Carolina to visit Shel and other friends up there. I have also been trying to wrap my head around all the changes at my place of employment. I am also having to take a pretty intense test this Saturday...I know...a test on a Saturday....not my idea of fun for sure.

Here is the random story of the evening....while Shel and I were traveling to get a milkshake at a little place called Cookout this weekend, we almost hit a Black Bear on the way back to her house. No. This is NOT a joke. We almost hit a big black bear. I know, I know- it sounds unreal but it happened for reals. We then googled it and we discovered that its actually good luck if a black bear walks in front of you- unlike a black cat. I love my time with Shelley!

I have been debating as of late on getting my hair cut with some layers in it since we are now approaching the summer season. I am, however nervous about the endeavour but I think I have decided to just bite the bullet and do it. It is really long but I kind of want it a bit shorter (I mean we aren't going to get drastic here...I pinky promise).

I have always been in love with being southern and living in the south and pretty much everything that we know down here in the south. I love it here. This weekend I went to Wilmington, NC where I just had a blast. I love it there- it just such a cute southern town! They even have a Lilly store :) which just made my day. OH YEA....and I forgot to mention that I, got 2 Lilly's a couple of weekends ago. TWO!!! Ahh they are the cutest things and I adore them! Thank you Mumsey and Popsicle.

Anywho, I hope everyone has a great rest of this week. I will for sure blog this weekend after this wonderful test of mine. Please keep me in your prayers while I take this test. Also, please keep one of my dearest most bestest friends in your prayers....her Nana isn't doing well and she will traveling here tomorrow after work.

My new ride!

No, I did not get rid of my wonderful car....who may I add got a bath tonight! I got one of these...

Now, it is not exactly like this one....mine if Tiffany blue with white fenders and will be wearing a nice little basket on the front pretty soon! I am so pumped about my wonderful bike and I can't wait to ride it around.

That is all for now....I am off to do some laundry! Good night y'all!

Busy

So, this afternoon I feel as though I got a whole bunch accomplished! I absolutely love that feeling! I scheduled the test that I wasn't supposed to have to take but now I have to....let's not get into that ....I have to take it on May 28th- go ahead and look at your calendar....that's right....it's a SATURDAY! Meh. I balanced my checkbook, I went through and cleaned out my wallet and my email and now I may go ahead and start on my laundry. oh yea and I finished getting my insurance stuff set up. Wow. I've been busy.

Well, this weekend was absolutely fantastic! I just loved seeing and spending time with Shell and just relaxing all weekend. I got saluted driving onto base....I know that doesn't sound like a huge deal but it was soo cool! I also got to meet some pretty great people! I will hopefully be going back there soon!

Several people have asked me over the past couple of days what I think about Bin Laden being captured and killed. I just want to say, that I will not be discussing this after these next few sentences. I am very proud of our country and the service men and women who have out their lives on the line and some who have sacrificed their lives for our country. I am very disheartened and just flat out disgusted to see Obama getting all the credit for "killing" Bin Laden. Obama just a few short months ago was trying to take away the pay from our military men, women, and families and now he is praising them. Does he not remember that he recently was going to dock or even take away pay from our Military? And another thing I don't get- his job approval rating went up to 67%. I think that our country is just totally off their rockers. I think the President may be bipolar- honestly. I don't understand. I am glad that our country has been victorious- but we need not be naive.

Anywho, I have to start studying now- wow....it's been a while since I said that! I hope that everyone has a great night!
