Interesting

I found this a few days ago and I found it to be oh so true. This is one of the reasons that I love the South and the people in it.....

"Courtesy, generosity, class and charm. No folks, these qualities didn't die with the Old South after the Civil War. They still exist in the hearts and souls of true Southern gentleman. Aristocratic and working class families alike have been rearing their sons to become the next generation of this rare breed of man. So what is 'Southern chivalry,' you ask? It's always letting a lady walk ahead, enter a room first, and sit first. It's opening and holding the door for her, pulling out her chair at a nice restaurant, and allowing her to place her drink and food order first. With all of this in mind, you must remember that Southern Belles are independent and reserve their right to stand their ground and assert their classy, confident attitudes. As I like to say, hell hath no wrath like a Southern woman scorned, so just be cautious gents!

These chivalrous qualities are instilled at birth in every Southern gentleman's heart, soul, and mind. It's how your mama and daddy raised you. But a true Southern gentleman takes these qualities to heart and molds them into a life journey that will no doubt grant him the success, happiness, and respect that so many Southern gents have received before him. Southern chivalry isn't a dying phrase...it's a way of life still very much alive below the Mason-Dixon."

Just a thought....
