Happy day off!

Today, I had the luxury of having the day off of work. Thank goodness for the stock market being closed. So happy! I didn't do much...I tried to do Zumba on the Wii, however the remotes decided they didn't want to work. Then I went to Chick-fil-A for lunch. LOVE Chick-fil-A. I then took my dry cleaning and now I am home doing laundry, cleaning out my car and now about to start on my homework before the Bachelor! Can.not.wait.

Lately, I have been contemplating getting a personal trainer, who just happens to be a friend of mine from college. She is such an awesome person and she is the only one whom I would trust with my training. I'm thinking this is a good decision and something that I could totally do. It's just going to take some commitment especially since its something that I will be doing 2 mornings a week. I have work at 8 and I just have to make sure I am not late for that. Thoughts, thoughts.

This past week I have been living without a credit/debit card. It has been difficult. You never realize how much you depend on something until you don't have the luxury of using it. Like today. I went to FiFi's today and found this cute coat and skirt and was only going to spend like $30. I had to pray I had enough cash on me so I could get them...something you don't have to do when you have your card. Thank goodness I did! I cannot wait to get my card, hopefully this week.

Anyway, my message for this week is to...

Cheers and go Everton! :)

Productiveness

This weekend has been nothing but. I feel as though I got a lot done- including my laundry! HA...wow do I sound like a bore! The weather here is totally doing a number on my sinuses....I can't stop coughing...and its driving me crazy!

This past week, I was asked to begin helping a Sunday morning bible class for kindergartner through 3rd grade. Let me just say how blessed our church is. These kids are just the funniest and smartest kids. I can't wait to see what these kids come up with! They just always have something to say or a story....and they are just the funniest! If you know me, you know how much I love really silly jokes, and I think this class is going to teach me a few!

Today in church, we were reminded about being a disciple and how we should show in everything that we do that we are a disciple of Christ. Let us all strive to do this throughout this year.

This week classes begin again....and all I have to say is this is going to be difficult to get back into.

Oh yea, and don't forget about The Bachelor tomorrow!!!! This season is going to be interesting to say the least....

Have a great week!!!!

No Sir

Whoa, its been a while. I am terribly sorry for the few months of nothing. I have been extremely busy. With classes, my best friend's wedding and working, I mean there has been no time for anything....barely have had time to rest my head! Happy New Year!!! It's been a great year so far!! I am so thankful that we have been blessed with another year! We had a great holiday season and also had a very relaxing new year, which I am thankful for!!

Today, it has been super duper cold and I just don't know how I am going to handle this 22 degree morning we are going to be having in the am but I will do my best! I am going to try and do a better job of writing throughout the week...actually put aside time to do it!!!

I recently became obsessed with Pinterest. I mean totally obsessed. I am on there all the time and keep finding fun things to do and make and really cute ideas!!! I can't wait to make them all :)

I want to start this year off by thanking all my friends and fam for being awesome and being so supportive through this crazy, busy time in my life. This has been so trying and difficult and I wouldn't have been able to keep up with everything if it weren't for God keeping me sane and my support system's encouragement.

I have a few things that I am adding to my want really bad list:

Chanel ballet flats...LOVE! Monogrammed necklace....in gold

I'm thinking of keeping a list of the things that I want, and then as I get these items, I will just check them off! This is totally against my new year's resolution about being better with my money! BAHAH

Well, I am off to bed!! I'm exhaused as this is my first day back to work since...last Friday haha. I want to say Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Sanchez!!! My best friend looked amazing and I couldn't be happier for them! They are amazing and I had such an amazing time with everyone back in Houston!

Saturday's in Fall

I absolutely love the fall and I love Saturday's in the fall. The weather is just crisp and football is on the TV or we are at a game. Can't get any better in my opinion. I have begun to appreciate the little things in life that make me smile.

On a sadder note, yesterday I went to the viewing of a 26 year old. His grandfather is a close friend of the fam, so we went to support him and his grieving family. This put some things into perspective for me. We never know what tomorrow holds. I think we all take for granted things in our lives everyday. We should not forget to say our I love yous or tell people that we appreciate them. We get so caught up in our every day lives that we forget to say thank you to God and we forget to tell our friends and family how much they really mean to us. It saddens me to think that this young man, who is close to my age, didn't get to say good bye or didn't get to say I love you to his family or let his friends know how much they mean to him. I am guilty of this as well. So, from now on, I will try and not take for granted anything in this world. To all my friends and fam, I love y'all and each of you has made me into the person I am today.

Ok....

These last few weeks have been very trying- due to the fact that I am trying to finish this class at school- while working full time. Take today for instance. I woke up and went to work- on a Saturday. Came home and started doing laundry (haven't had time to do it in about 2 weeks) and started writing a paper for my class- while watching the UGA game. Its 11 pm and I just finished my part of the paper and am getting ready to put away the laundry and get everything ready for church tomorrow. Whew. I love organization and if I don't begin my week with it- well let's just say it isn't pretty. HA

I can't wait to be in Houston in 20 days for my best friend's bridal shower. I CAN.NOT.WAIT. It is going to be amazing and her and her fiance deserve the absolute best. They are the cutest thing and I can't wait to see them! AHH....anywho, after that then I get to see this....

If you don't know where this is....it is the best place....Athens, Georgia. Ansley is finally making the trip to Athens and its going to be awesome!! This is the best place! I can't wait for it to turn cooler up there!!! Its one of the best feelings in the entire world.

Well good night y'all! Yay for a Dawg win today in Oxford! Y'all have a fabulous evening and a great Sunday! I am going to try and get better at posting- well if anyone reads this thing anyway!

Oh Dear

Dearest Aaron Murray,

Well well well....it's another football season in the best college town in the nation, Athens, Georgia. I know things in the past have been a tad bit difficult but I think we need to talk. Things cannot end up as they did last year. The 2010-2011 football season broke.my.heart. I think its time to step it up especially after last Saturday's performance. Now, I understand that Boise was ranked higher but puhlease.....lock it up. I just cannot stand to have another embarrassing season as the last. Ok, thanks. I look forward to seeing you this Saturday at 4:30 pm. Goodbye.

Sincerely,

Concerned fans

Interesting

I found this a few days ago and I found it to be oh so true. This is one of the reasons that I love the South and the people in it.....

"Courtesy, generosity, class and charm. No folks, these qualities didn't die with the Old South after the Civil War. They still exist in the hearts and souls of true Southern gentleman. Aristocratic and working class families alike have been rearing their sons to become the next generation of this rare breed of man. So what is 'Southern chivalry,' you ask? It's always letting a lady walk ahead, enter a room first, and sit first. It's opening and holding the door for her, pulling out her chair at a nice restaurant, and allowing her to place her drink and food order first. With all of this in mind, you must remember that Southern Belles are independent and reserve their right to stand their ground and assert their classy, confident attitudes. As I like to say, hell hath no wrath like a Southern woman scorned, so just be cautious gents!

These chivalrous qualities are instilled at birth in every Southern gentleman's heart, soul, and mind. It's how your mama and daddy raised you. But a true Southern gentleman takes these qualities to heart and molds them into a life journey that will no doubt grant him the success, happiness, and respect that so many Southern gents have received before him. Southern chivalry isn't a dying phrase...it's a way of life still very much alive below the Mason-Dixon."

Just a thought....

Reagan said it best.....

After all of these recent problems with the debt ceiling and utter chaos going on around, I found this and though it was appropriate. I think its sad that our elected government officials are vacationing in the Hampton's or in Camp David and not trying to fix the problems that are going on in this country. It is ridiculous that we, as Americans, living in the most powerful country in the nation, have this many problems. And another thing, we hear more about these problems more so than the 30 United States Troops that lost their lives in Afghanistan over the weekend. I find this ridiculous and selfish of our Government.

Ok, I promise I am done with that. It's just when things irritate you...you have to get it off your chest.

Happy August everyone! It's a great month (if I do say so myself)! The South during these summer months is like a sauna....its crazy. I can honestly say though that I would not give up being in the South for anything. It's just such an awesome place.

This isn't the post that I had planned, but I thought it was one that was something that I needed to get it off my chest. I hope everyone has a great Monday evening.

Congrats to the fabulous Atlanta Braves on their 10,000 franchise win tonight against the Washington Nationals. I am so proud to call myself a Braves fan (thank you Garrett!)!!

Bad Day

Do you ever just have those days that you just wish would be over really, really bad? And all you want to do is cry and pretend you didn't wake up that particular morning? Well, today has been that kind of day. I don't understand this world at all. I just don't. It seems like every turn I make or everything I go to do is to please others at my own expense. Just when you think you may have things figured out and everything is going well, life throws you a curve ball and you go down swinging. I just don't understand it at all. I pray all the time and then all of a sudden, life stinks again. I just wish that things could be consistant. I wish that I wasn't trying to please everyone else and for once someone do something nice for me. I hate to sound selfish. I really do. I am not a selfish person. I am just someone having a really bad, horrible day. I really pray that everything will be better tomorrow. Maybe I will just stay out of everyone's way. Maybe that will help.
