Well....

I got the job! After I left my other job, I began applying at different places around the city. Well, my first choice was at a HUGE company....I went for an interview, and well...I got the job! I am so excited and can't wait to see where this journey takes me. My first day is March 21st...so I've got a while...but still I couldn't be happier!

Oh, I totally forgot to wish a very Hapy Birthday to my friend Cassidy! I hope you had a great day! She is currently pregnant and is due very soon! Her and her hubby are going to be wonderful parents to baby Brooks (what a cute name)!

Last night for dinner, we ventured to Barbara Jeans in Amelia Island. If you haven't made your way there....please do so! It is fantastic food...may I suggest the crab cakes. Everything that I've ever had there was amazing!

In just two weeks my dear friend Ali will be Mrs. Denny. I can't wait for this special day in their lives and am so honored that I get to be a part of it. I know that I have said it before, but I have the best friends in the entire world. I wake up this morning (I know, its Saturday morning and I am up THIS early...I'm going to help my Daddy at the office this morning) and I have a missed call and voicemail. It's from Ali. She called to just tell me that she is proud of me and that she is so blessed to have me as a best friend. I mean, that makes getting up early def worth it.

Today is a special day! Two of my dear friends share this birthday.....happy birthday Phil and Shelley! I miss you two very very much!

This weekend was jammed packed with soo many things! 3 of my friends were in town and it was one thing after another-which was SO much fun! It was so good to see everyone and am so thankful to have such great people in my life. I forgot to mention how beautiful the weather was this weekend- I mean 70's the whole weekend. Loved it!

Tonight, I have been lame to say the least. We had Ladies Night Out at church- which this was my first one. I have never attended one- but Shelley asked me to and since she was in town and it is her bday- I decided to break down and go. My mum even made a special appearance. It was a lot of fun and I even came home with a gift card for Subway. Yum!

Can I just vent here for a moment? K. Thanks. I love love love about 4 shows on tv right now. And 3 of them come on on the same night. How. annoying. I couldn't possibly decide to watch one over the other- its really just an impossible decision. I mean The Bachelor, Greek, and Gossip Girl...come on!!! Ok. I am done now. So, y'all can all guess what I have been doing since I got home. Yep. That's correct....watching TV and doing some laundry.

Valentine's and Hulu

Valentine's Day this year....as it is every year was very uneventful. Ha. I love the color pink, the color red, hearts and chocolate so it seems like the perfect holiday right? Well, not so much. But, I'm not one of those bitter people. Monday, was also the first day working for my Dad. It's been pretty good all week- but the next two days are a little bit busier. I am VERY confident that I made the right decision. :)

So, since this is the off season for me with my fav sports, I have taken this time to catch up on some shows that I have totally neglected over the past few months. Hulu has proven to be my BEST FRIEND! Ok, so I know that I am totally behind in the times, but Hulu is great!

In the other news, I am super PROUD of Bachelor Brad got rid of that crazy girl Michelle! I have to admit that I didn't have much faith in Brad, but he made a very smart decision on Monday night.

I have a few friends coming in town for this weekend, so I'm sure it will be awesome! Just think, we are only 2 days away from Friday...YIPPIE SKIPPIE!

Wooo Hooo Frrriiidddaayyyyy

So, as you can see from the time of this post, it is officially 11:28 pm on a Friday evening. I am currently laying in bed. I just got done catching up on the very few episodes they have of Greek up there that I have missed over the past few weeks due to GG and the Bachelor. Wow, I am so totally lame but I have to be up early in the am (I know, its a Saturday) to proctor the SATs at a local high school.

Today was my last day at work. My fellow coworkers made it such a great day with lunch, cupcakes, and balloons! I will most def miss their smiling faces and inside jokes that we have but I am very excited and optimistic about what the future holds.

Happy Wednesday

Last night was the River City Rumble here. For those of you who don't know, its where cross town rivals, University of North Florida (UNF) and Jacksonville University (JU) play each other in any sport. Well last night was basketball. It was a very intense game to say the least- it came down to the last few seconds of the game. But JU (my Alma mater) pulled through and won! I am so proud of the little Dolphins!! I got to catch up before and during the game with some old friends of mine, which was a ton of fun! I miss the athletic staff at JU- I spent a great 3 years with them and just love them to pieces!

Please keep the Verlander family in your prayers. Bonnie was taken to the hospital on Monday evening.

Super Bowl

The past few days have been exhausting! I have been catching up with friends I haven't been able to talk to the past few weeks, getting everything ready in my Dad's new office, scheduling a trip to Houston, and oh that's right a little football game called the SUPER BOWL! Although I didn't care about who won, I did however care about the commercials and the half-time show. Let's just say, the show didn't disappoint. I went over to my friends Mirch and Charles' place and got to watch it on this MASSIVE TV. We all thought The Black Eyed Peas, Slash and of course Usher were awesome!!! Plus, being with old friends was fun too!!!

Sometimes I just get so busy where I forget to have fun! So my goal over the next few weeks is have fun!!! I have a lot of fun things coming up....Ali and Mat coming into town and their visit, going to Houston to visit Kel and go to the Rodeo!!! I am so excited!!!!

Also, I wanted to give props to the teen group at church. They have been working on bulletin boards for the Lads to Leaders competition. They are just fantastic! I know how much hard work has gone into them and I just wanted to say that they look awesome!

Please continue to keep my friend and her fam in your prayers. They are still going through a tough time.

Well, I am going to do some laundry and watch some TV. I hope everyone has had a great Monday! Loves!

Moving On

Changes are never easy- but they are necessary. Over the past few months, I have been struggling with a decision that I know needed to be made. Well, last week, I made the decision and took action. Next Friday, I will be leaving my current job. I don't really have any plans as of now, but I know that I will be going to Houston for a week or so to see Kelly, Joey, and of course Smith. I have the support of my family and my TRUE friends- or else I wouldn't have decided to quit without something lined up. I have met a lot of great people at this job, but it was just time. I will miss certain aspects, but others I won't miss. It is very important to me to be happy- no matter where you are in life. I wasn't happy- so I made some changes. I haven't fully been myself during this time in my life, but I am ready to get back to normal!!!

On another note, I am just going to vent for a few. I will start by saying that I started this blog for me and for the people in my life that care about me and want to keep up with the everyday happenings in my world. I didn't start it to be made fun of or for negative people to make comments about. I have thought about getting rid of this blog a few times due to negative people; but I really like doing this....so I am going to continue and not worry about what others say. Secondly, I can't stand negativity. It is one of my pet peeves and I just honestly can't stand it. I CHOOSE to surround myself with positive, fabulous people and keep people out who bring me down. I am so glad that I have people in my everyday life that care about me, for who I am- shortcomings and all. They don't make fun of me, they aren't mean and hateful, they are loving and supporting. They have the same goal as I do in life, to be the best Christian that one can be and to one day, get to Heaven. Long story short, thank you to my friends and fam who are always there and ALWAYS support me in the decisions that I make. I love y'all. I will now get off my soapbox. :)

Please keep one of my best friends in your prayers. She is going through a rough time and so is her family. I am very close to them and I know that God will take care of them!!

Oh I totally forgot about updating this about the contest for Jen and James. They didn't win :( but I know that their wedding will be 1,000 times better than that one anyway. And hey, this way I can go :) I love them and they deserve the best!!!!! Can't wait for September lovie!!! September should be an awesome time to make a little trip up to Maryland/DC :)

Today is such a yuckie day in the "Sunshine State." There isn't much sunshine in the forecast for the next couple of days. But supposedly according to Groundhog's Day, spring is coming early this year!! Whoop whoop! I can't wait to see the rest of the spring collections out there!!!
